Supposedly ‘Green’ Scams

I’ve been astounded by how many green scams we see. Products or Projects that are supposedly good for the environment, but actually are not. We’ve got some examples here in Oregon.

Oregon’s TriMet Light Rail, with budget problems, spent $370,600 dollars on a solar cell install that will save $3,680/yr. That’s a 101 year payback, assuming that the solar cells would actually last that long.

However, photovoltaics only have a projected lifetime of 30 years

This article talks about work being done to achieve 30 year lifetimes
